1. About ThinkUp Social

ThinkUp Social is a peer-to-peer advising platform that connects high school and college students with student advisors for academic and career guidance. Advisors on our platform are students or recent graduates sharing their personal experience — they are not licensed professionals, and sessions do not constitute professional academic, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ThinkUp Social. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the platform. By using ThinkUp Social, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Do not share your login credentials. Notify us immediately at support@thinkupsocial.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Advisor Conduct

Advisors must represent their background, qualifications, and experience accurately. Advisors may not offer services outside their stated expertise, engage in deceptive practices, or misuse student information shared during sessions.

5. Payments

Payment for advising sessions is processed through Stripe. By booking a session, you authorize ThinkUp Social to charge the stated fee to your payment method. Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis — contact us at support@thinkupsocial.com if you have a payment concern.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Use the platform to solicit users to transact outside of ThinkUp Social

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

ThinkUp Social and its content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you post, but grant us a license to display it on the platform.

8. Disclaimers

ThinkUp Social is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that advising sessions will meet your expectations or produce specific outcomes. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or quality of advice provided by advisors.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThinkUp Social shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any advising sessions conducted through it.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
